The role also oversees a smaller sister property in the same geographic area. This property is privately owned by an entrepreneurial individual with progressive plans for the future of what is a collection of excellent properties throughout the Midlands.

In the recent AA hotel inspection this hotel was 80% quality score and the main property has one of the UK's largest hotel spas with 22 treatment rooms and a leisure club with in excess of 1200 local members.

·         You will be required to analyse and research current business so as to develop and implement a plan that will see yield improve and income per client/member increase. The objective of this work is to take the combined businesses to a turnover that is anticipated to be £5m

·         Investigate the operating costs and internal performance of the service delivery so as to ensure optimum cost efficiencies whilst maintaining a luxury spa and leisure club experience

·         Understand and monitor the productivity of the therapists and fitness team as well as the occupancy of the treatment rooms to ensure optimum use of resources

·         Lead, manage and monitor the performance of the operational managers to ensure high standards of client/member care, satisfaction and return visits

·         Work in close liaison with the Hotel Manager, Financial Controller, Marketing Manager and Direct Marketing Manager to ensure that campaigns are joined up and supported as appropriate. In particular propose changes as and when needed in the packages and benefits on offer to ensure maximum appeal to prospective users without sacrificing our primary objective of yield-managed turnover

·         Liaise with the Executive Housekeeper and Property Manager as needed to ensure that the facilities are always presented in an immaculate and hygienic condition – although on a day-to-day basis this falls within the responsibility of the operational managers.

Ideally you will have come from a background in the leisure industry that must include the spa business and a steady track record of achievement in notable organizations

·         Above average financial literacy, computer skills, a talent for analysis and investigation

·         Clearly able to demonstrate their personal impact in previous and current roles such that confidence is built in their ability to deliver in this position
